Two archways lead into a side hall that has its walls painted to resemble various scenes of battle, mostly depicting elves against monsters invading a forest.
- Above each of the archways are suspended large, spiked iron balls upon chains, that are ‘obviously’ meant to swing down and strike anyone who enters once triggered. However, there are no trigger mechanisms. Instead, to each side of the small corridors leading into the room are pressure plates. When stepped on, they will trigger spikes to slide out of the painted walls upon anyone trying to skirt along the sides of the passages. These attack as 6 HD monsters and deal 2d6 damage on a hit.
