3-24 A Hall of Pillars and Statues

 


This hall has been lushly appointed. The walls are hung with tapestries depicting images of beautiful gardens and forests. Surrounded by columns in the center of the room is a mass of pillows, surrounding a low, round table. To the sides of the room, statues of various sorts have been pushed and stacked, mostly a scattering of bugbears and a few rats.

  • This is the lair of Trieste. She spends most of her time in this chamber, and is usually lounging within the middle. She wears a veil most times, and will not immediately attack unless threatened, being curious over what has brought the adventurers in. She will admire and be friendly with charismatic party members, and may express interest in them, but she is both demanding and unstable, so this may not last long.
  • If threatened, she will call two gargoyles who are hiding among the various statues in the room to her defense. In desperate times, she will use her potions to her benefit.

Monsters: Trieste (Longbow, 20 poisoned arrows (save or die after 1 turn/10 rounds), longsword), 2 gargoyles

Treasure: 8000 ep, 5000 gp, 3000 pp, potion of invisibility, potion of speed, scroll (hold portal, levitate), chainmail +2 (usually not worn, but will don it if she has clear warning people are coming to kill her), wand of fear (13 charges)
